Effect of different O2 tensions on the differentiation and stemness of the MMSCs. (a) The MMSCs were cultured under 1%, 5%, 7%, and 21% O2 conditions for 3 days, respectively. The expression of E-cadherin, SIX-2, and CITED1 was measured by western blotting. The results show that the expression of E-cadherin, SIX-2, and CITED1 was not altered by 5% or 7% O2, compared with 21% O2. However, the expression of E-cadherin was increased and the levels of SIX-2 and CITED1 were decreased by 1% O2 culture.
