Distribution and metabolic profile of NO2-CLA in NO2-CLA-supplemented adipocyte lipids and media. Cellular content of NO2-CLA (A), NO2-dihydro-CLA (B), dinor NO2-dihydro-CLA (C), and tetranor NO2-dihydro-CLA (D) at 24 h was established on fractionated lipid classes after acid hydrolysis. FFA fraction was not subjected to acid hydrolysis. Concentration of nitro-FA species was determined in media for the following species: NO2-CLA (filled square) and NO2-dihydro-CLA (open square) (E) and dinor NO2-CLA (filled square) and dinor NO2-dihydro-CLA (open square) (F) over a period of 24 h. Range (minimum-maximum) and mean (A–D) and mean ± SD (E, F) are shown. Two independent experiments were performed (n = 4).
