Sera, ovaries and uteri were isolated from those coumestrol-exposed female adult CBA/J mice (L and H groups) and the control animals as described above, respectively. Serum level of estradiol (E2) was determined using an EIA kit (n=10-12/group). The ovaries and uteri (n=8-10/group) were weighed after associated fat and internal fluid was removed. Their weights are presented as relative weights after normalized to body weights using the following equation: organ weight (mg)/body weight (g). Comparisons between groups were performed using one-way ANOVA followed by Bonferroni's post hoc test. *P<0.05 vs. the control group.
