Comparison of OTUs and taxonomic assignments for a COI marker PCR‐amplified using either a touchdown thermal cycling protocol (Leray et al., 2013) or 35 cycles using a single annealing temperature (46°C). Zooplankton were collected in January 2015 from five sites in Storm Bay, Tasmania. Taxonomic assignments were performed using MEGAN 5 based on BLASTN searches against the NCBI “nt” database (downloaded June 2016)
