^aMonocyte-derived DC (2 × 10⁵) were infected as indicated with C. trachomatis serovar L2 (L2) and serovar E (E) or treated with heat-inactivated L2 (HK L2) and heat- inactivated E (HK E) at an MOI of 20:1. Cytokine levels were determined by ELISA in supernatants taken at 24 h posttreatment. Means ± SD were calculated from the results obtained with two different donors.
