A549 cells transfected with miR-148b mimic or inhibitor were irradiated with 2 Gy of γ-radiation, stained with γ-H2AX antibody at subsequent time intervals, and γ-H2AX foci were counted. *, P<0.05 compared with control transfected cells. To quantify the number of γ-H2AX foci, at least 100 nuclei were analysed from each sample.
