Hematoxylin- and eosin-stained cross sections of paraffin-embedded kidney tissues of rats from control and experimental groups (40×). In control rats, kidney and glomeruli appear to be normal (A). Tubules showed occasional vacuolated cells. NIC-STZ rats show tubules with vacuolated cells. Glomeruli show mesangial thickening (B). Strawberry interventions alter the histology of the kidney.
