Bajijiasu attenuated RANKL-induced gene expression. RT-pPCR was used to measure the relative levels of RANKL-induced gene expression in BMM cells cultured in the presence of Bajijiasu at 0.1 and 0.4mM. Gene expression was normalized to GAPDH; (A) cathepsin K (Ctsk); (B) Calcitonin receptor; (C) nuclear factor of activated T-cells cytoplasmic 1 (NFATc1); (D) MMP2 (matrix metalloproteinase-2); (E) tartrate resistant acid phosphatase (TRAcP); and (F) vacuolar-type H+-ATPase V0 subunit D2 (V-ATPase d2).
