Images were acquired as described for Video 1, with drift correction. In severely affected ref mutant embryos, none of the cardiomyocytes display measurable medial movement. Arrows indicate initial starting position of cardiomyocytes. Blank frames indicate brief pauses in acquisition for refocusing. Asterisks indicate GFP+ cells that are not cardiomyocytes.
