Scanning electron micrographs of acellular microsphere-based scaffolds. BLANK (PLGA-only), BMP (PLGA with BMP-2 encapsulated), TH73 (PLGA with 30 wt% TCP/HAp 7:3), and TH11 (PLGA with 30 wt% TCP/HAp 1:1) scaffolds. All of the scaffolds were porous in nature with interconnected pores. Scale bars: 100 µm.
