Effect of sequential, low-pH exposures on conformation of gB oligomer. Extracellular HSV-1 KOS virions (105 PFU) were treated with pH 5.1 for 10 min and neutralized back to pH 7.4 for 10 min for the indicated number of times. Samples were treated with 1% SDS and separated by “native” PAGE (54). Western blots were probed with monoclonal antibody H1359 to gB.
