Soil bulk density (kg dm⁻³), carbon concentrations (%) and carbon content (kg m⁻²) in the soil organic matter (SOM) at different depths before the planting (2010) and after four years (2014) of short‐rotation coppice culture. As no differences were detected between genotypes (Skado and Koster), data were pooled. The means are presented for both previous land‐use types, and for both narrow and wide rows. Values from narrow and wide rows were averaged taking into account the proportional area they occupied per m⁻²
