Sugar interaction tests for GlyR1 and GlyR2 via EMSA with biotin-labeled DNA fragments from the promoters of regulated genes. Twenty femtomoles of biotin-labeled probe and 15 nM purified transcription factor were used. Control competitive binding reaction mixtures included 4 pmol of unlabeled probe.
