A glass slide coated with linearized plasmid DNA was incubated with nanoparticles with or without surface 3E10^EN. For the purpose of detection the nanoparticles were encapsulated with IR780. After a 60-minute incubation with the nanoparticles the slide was rinsed and the signal of IR780, which correlated with the amount of nanoparticles, was visualized by IVIS.
