The relative collagen area was quantified as the percentage of total tissue surface. Maturity of collagen was estimated by calculating the red/green ratio. Red indicates thick, mature collagen. Green indicates thin, immature collagen In terms of collagen percentage and red/green ratio, no significant differences were found between groups.
