Reduced longevity in dSap-r mutants. A & B. Longevity of flies with different dSap-r mutant allelic combinations was assessed at 29 °C. Rescue of dSap-r mutant longevity was performed by expressing dSap-r cDNA in the neurons (A) or glia (B) of dSap-r mutants using the 1407- and repo-GAL4 drivers. Neuronal or glial expression of dSap-r in a wild type background was performed as a transgene control. Longevity was plotted as the percentage of Day 0 flies surviving for each genotype. n > 60 flies for each genotype.
