Synergistic effect of CIK with VPA in vivo. Relative tumor volume of VPA single or CIK single treatment group was not statistically different from that of control group (P = 0.754 and P = 0.597 respectively). The combination therapy of CIK cells + VPA produced a significant synergistic effect (P = 0.047). The relative tumor volume of combination therapy group increased to 5.20 while that in the control group increased to 11.25.
