Autophagy inhibition aggravated the LAs‐induced abnormalities in cell morphology. SH‐SY5Y cells were transfected with beclin‐1 siRNA. The scramble RNA‐transfected cells served as controls. Forty‐eight hours after transfection, cells were exposed to LAs for 24 hrs. Cell morphology was observed under a phase‐contrast microscope at a magnification of 400×.
