Characterization of curcumin and quinacrine liposomes modified with MAN.
Notes: (A) TEM picture of curcumin and quinacrine liposomes modified with MAN. (B, C) Release rates of curcumin and quinacrine from three different formulations was determined by dialysis against PBS solution at 37°C, which contained 2% of SDS. Meanwhile, they were treated with a shaker using a frequency approximately 100 times per minute. Data are presented as the mean ± standard deviation, and each assay was repeated in triplicate.
Abbreviations: MAN, p-aminophenyl-α-D-mannopyranoside; PBS, phosphate-buffered saline; SDS, sodium dodecyl sulfate; TEM, transmission electron microscopy.
