A, B. 253J-Bv and T24 cells were incubated for 24 h with or without 10 μM curcumin and 10 μM cisplatin. After incubation, samples were subjected to SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-caspase 3 or anti-tubulin antibody. The figure represents three experiments showing similar results. C, D. 253J-Bv and T24 cells pretreated with Z-VAD-FMK (10, 20, and 50 μM) for 1 h were incubated with or without 10 μM curcumin and 10 μM cisplatin for 24 h. After incubation, cancer cell viability was measured by MTT assay. Data are expressed as the mean ± SEM of three independent experiments. Significant differences from the results obtained for cells incubated with only medium are shown. *p <0.005 compared with medium alone was considered statistically significant.
