A-D. 253J-Bv and T24 cells were pretreated with NAC (1, 5, and 10 mM) or U0126 (5, 10 and 20 μM) for 1 h at 37°C before incubation for 24 h at 37°C with or without 10 μM curcumin and 10 μM cisplatin. After incubation, cancer cell viability was measured by MTT assay. Data are expressed as the mean ± SEM of three independent experiments. Significant differences from the results obtained with cells incubated with only medium are shown. *p <0.05 and **p <0.005 compared with medium alone were considered statistically significant. No cytotoxicity of NAC or U0126 at the treated concentrations was observed.
