MAP3K14 deficient mice are protected from tubular noncanonical NFκB pathway activation in acute folate nephropathy. (A) RelB and (B) p100/52 immunohistochemistry. Nuclear p52 is observed in renal tubules from heterozygous mice with folate nephropathy (arrows), whereas no staining was observed in MAP3K14 deficient mice with folate nephropathy. Immunohistochemistry does not discriminate between NFκB2 p100 and NFκB2 p52. However, Western blot shown in Figure 4C shows the presence of the active NFκB2 p52 protein.
