Therapeutic efficacy of pVAX1-HSP65 DNA+IL-12 DNA vaccine on the TB infection in the C57BL/6 mice. Groups of mice were challenged by intravenous injection with 5 × 10⁴ CFU TB, and then treated three times with the vaccine, as described in Material and Methods. Three weeks after challenge, therapeutic efficacy was measured by enumerating the bacterial loads (CFU) in the liver. Results are expressed as the mean log₁₀ ± S.D. of CFU. The statistical significance of difference between vaccinated group (■) and control group (□) was determined by student's test (n = 10). * p<0.01: the statistical significance of differences of vaccinated group to control group.
