Disruption of the TAL1 Insulated Neighborhood Border Activates TAL1 Transcription in T-ALL Cells. This structural loop isolates the TAL1 promoters from enhancers outside of this structural loop. The deletion of this sequence disrupts the normal structural loop and enables distal enhancers to aberrantly communicate with the TAL1 promoter to drive oncogenic TAL1 expression.
