An example of an alcohol for which the crystal structure has some errors as detected by high E OO values. A tetramer of the published structure with refcode TEZQIA in the CSD is shown. The two hydroxyl hydrogen atoms on atoms O1 and O2 are obviously wrongly oriented as the distance between them is only 1.21 Å. In addition, there are non-favorable O⋯O contacts at a distance of 2.82 Å instead of an O—H⋯O hydrogen bond.
