(a) Considering all previous large-enrollment biology courses that students had been enrolled in, 125 students (79.6%) reported that it was unlikely that an instructor knew their names during a course, and only 32 students (20.4%) reported that it was likely that an instructor knew their names during a course. (b) In considering this course, 136 students (78.2%) perceived that an instructor of this course knew their names, and 38 students (21.8%) reported that an instructor of the course did not know their names.
