Rate of photosynthesis (An), stomatal conductance (gs), transpiration (E) and intercellular CO2 concentration (Ci) were recorded in plants derived or not from Trichoderma harzianum T34-treated seeds, and with or without salt stress (2 l of a 300 mM NaCl solution per 10 plants). NPK fertilizer was applied to 24-day-old plants, and salt was applied to 32-day-old plants. Measurements were taken 72 h after salt application. Each value is the mean of two measurements taken for six replicates (n = 6), and are expressed as μmol m-2 s-1, An; mmol m-2 s-1, gs; mmol m-2 s-1, E; and μmol mol-1, Ci. Significant effects were determined by a two-way ANOVA (P < 0.05, ∗∗P < 0.01, ∗∗∗P < 0.001) for T34, salt and the T34 × salt interaction, ns, no statistical differences. Different letters denote statistical significance for the T34 × salt interaction.
