‘NS’ indicates that the mean simulation result was not significantly different from Steenstrup et al. (2013a) model; ‘*’ indicates that the mean simulation result provided a significantly better fit than Steenstrup et al. (2013a) model; ‘–’ indicates that the mean simulation result provided a significantly worse fit than Steenstrup et al. (2013a) model. A significant difference in fit is defined as occurring when Steenstrup et al. (2013a) prediction falls outside the 95% confidence intervals of the mean prediction from the simulation.
