The bean leaf discs transiently transformed with each of the constructs were treated without (−Cd) and with 200 μm CdCl₂ (+Cd) for 24 h. GUS expression was determined by immunoblot (IB) assays using anti-GUS and anti-tubulin (as a loading control) antibodies. The experiments were repeated independently two times with similar results.
