(B) Gallery of images with the same tomographic thickness (9.1 nm) for individual densities associated with budding virions (top), cytoplasmic pools near budding virions (middle), and cytoplasmic ribosomes. Dimensions of virion-associated and cytoplasmic densities were indistinguishable. Ribosomes contain a visible cleft between individual subunits that is absent in the densities associated with budding virions and cytoplasmic pools near areas of prolific virus production.
