BoNT/A and sumatriptan effects on bilateral allodynia induced by unilateral TMJ inflammation. BoNT/A (5 U kg−1) was injected into the TMJ (5 U kg−1 i.a.) or trigeminal ganglion (2 U kg−1 i.g.) 3 days before CFA. Facial allodynia was measured with von Frey filaments 24 h after CFA injection into the TMJ. Sumatriptan (175 mg kg−1) was administered p.o. 24 h after CFA, and allodynia was measured 2 h after sumatriptan.
