The STC-SELEX process starts with a random DNA library. After incubation of the random library with the first target bacteria, the isolation step is performed to obtain DNA that bound to the target. After washing to remove unbound DNA, elution of the bound DNA with the target, amplification and purification, the process is repeated using the next target bacteria. After repetition of this process using all targets, the selection process is repeated, beginning with the first target. This SELEX loop is repeated until the desired elution yield is obtained.
