Western blots of lysates from SW1990 cells treated with 1,3,4-O-Bu₃ManNAc. The treated (and control) cells were subsequently exposed to 10 ng/mL of EGF for 2.0 min and (A) the amount of phosphorylated STAT3 significantly decreased (B) without a corresponding decrease in STAT3 levels (B). At the same time, phosphorylation of ERK1/2 (C) and AKT (D) were not affected. Each experiment includes at least three biological replicates and the blots were quantified using Image J with data expressed as mean ± standard error mean (SEM). * indicates a p value of < 0.05.
