This figure illustrates the different comparisons performed to identify differentially expressed miRNAs in CRC. Remarkably, more than half, 15 of 28 miRNA candidates (10 from A and 5 from C, after excluding miR-26a that was identified in the whole sera), were exclusively identified in CRC particle-concentrated serum compartment.
