(B) The quantity of fibronectin protein was increased in ob/ob mice compared to wt/ob controls. A trend was observed towards lower fibronectin content in carnosine-treated animals. (C) Fibronectin mRNA expression (shown relative to the wt/ob group) was significantly decreased in carnosine-treated mice compared to ob/ob controls. (D) The quantity of fibronectin protein positively correlated with glycemia, HbA1c and albumin-creatinine ratio (ACR).
