A. DU145 monolayer (10⁶) or sphere (10⁴) cells were subcutaneously implanted into 9 and 7 NOD/SCID mice, respectively. When tumors reached 100mm³ (treatment starting point/TSP), mice were randomly assigned to receive DMSO or docetaxel (see Materials and Methods for details). Tumor volumes are expressed as fold change two weeks after the TSP. Statistical analyses were performed using Student's t-test. B. IHC staining for MUC1 in xenograft tumors generated from DU145 monolayer and sphere cells. Typical images are shown.
