Two-dimensional gel-electrophoresis of proteins extracted from different Fusobacterium spp. The bacteria were grown in Todd Hewitt broth without cysteine prior to protein extraction and separation. One gel was stained with Coomassie blue (a) for protein detection and extraction and another with in-gel activity bismuth staining (c) for detection of proteins producing H₂S.
