Titanium coupons were removed from the reactors ater 72 hours of incubation at room temperature and processed as described in the “Methods” section to create bacterial suspensions and determine the number of bacteria associated with the titanium coupons. The numbers of viable bacteria associated with the control and experimental coupons are expressed as log₁₀ CFU/cm².
