The impact of aspirin therapy on thrombin receptor‐mediated release of angiogenic proteins. Patients initiated 325 mg of aspirin therapy daily for duration of 45 days. An ex vivo assay of thrombin receptor agonist peptide (TRAP) mediated release was used to determine the impact of aspirin therapy on protein release. Angiogenic protein levels were measured by ELISA (1) prior to aspirin therapy; (2) 30 days on aspirin therapy; (3) 45 days on aspirin therapy; and (4) 30 days postaspirin therapy.
