HSA-PEI-pcDNA-Apoptin effectively inhibited tumor growth in vivo. Female nude mice were injected with MCF-7 human breast cancer cells and divided into three groups: HSA-PEI-pcDNA-Apoptin group, HSA-PEI-pcDNA group and the saline (control group). The mice in these groups were injected with the expression vectors or NaCl once daily for 25 days. (A) The tumor tissue of the female nude mice following sacrifice. (B) Tumor weight was significantly reduced in the mice injected with the HSA-PEI-pcDNA-Apoptin expression vector. *P<0.05 vs. HSA-PEI-pcDNA. (C) Tumor volumes were measured every 3 days during treatment. HSA, human serum albumin; PEI, polyethylenimine; NaCl, sodium chloride.
