Laboratory markers that are readily available in most clinical settings and can be used to identify patients with or at risk of PICS.

Persistent immunosuppression Total lymphocyte count < 0.80 ×109/L
Catabolic state Serum albumin < 3.0 g/dL
Pre-albumin <10mg/dL
Creatinine height index < 80%
Weight loss > 10% ‘or’ BMI < 18 during hospitalization
