RKO cells transfected with Flag-NHERF1 plasmid were serum-free starved 24 h, and then cultured with or without VEGF165 25 ng/ml. NHERF1 significantly inhibited cell migration (A) and invasion (B) induced by VEGF165. RKO cells transfected with NHERF1 plasmid were cultured in DMEM supplemented with 10% FBS with or without ZM-323881, VEGFR2 special inhibitor. ZM-323881 (10 nM) removed the inhibitory effects of NHERF1 on cell migration (C) and invasion (D) The results represent the mean values ± SD of three independent experiments (C, D). *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01
