Upon sacrifice, ascites was removed and spun at 300 x g for 10 minutes to isolate the cell free component of the ascites which was assayed for levels of A. TGF-β, B. VEGF, C. MCP-1, D. IL-10, and E. IL-6 by ELISA or Cytokine Bead Array. n = 5-10 mice per group. * = p<0.05 and # = p<0.01 compared to control vehicle-treated tumor bearing mice or indicated groups.
