Markers represent the measured free energy μoc of electron-hole pairs in perovskite and perovskite-based heterojunctions as a function of the excitation intensity (Iex) delivered by a CW laser at 532 nm. Lines are provided as a guide to the eye to identify the slope of the data. The ideality factor deviates from the 1.5 value of the single hybrid perovskite layer, increasing to 2 when Iex exceeds a threshold that is peculiar to each type of heterojunction.
