Postmortem interval (PMI) ranged from 2.6 to 5.8; Neuropsychological deficits (NPD) confirmed of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and normal controls (NC). Frozen tissue (at −80°C) was sectioned in 7 μm thickness at −20°C and used for the study. GM =Gray matter; WM =White matter.
