Abundance of benthic foraminifera and ¹⁴C results of core KNR140 JPC-12 from 4,250 m on Blake Ridge. Nuttalides umbonifera abundance is represented by solid circles, and Cibicidoides are marked by diamonds. As with other sites on the western side of the western basin of the subtropical NW Atlantic, Cibicidoides are too rare to make stable isotope time series. Dates are on N. umbonifera for the three peaks (two are new data) and mixed planktonics at the 195- and 231-cm peaks, with the date at 259 cm based on fragments of G. inflata. The lower two peaks fall within the LGM as defined here.
