Correlation between levels of bile acids in the testes and levels of bile acids in the serum at 90 days post-surgery for both spinal cord injury (SCI) and sham animals combined (R² = 0.7975). Separating the measurements into SCI and sham groups increased the correlation (R² = 0.9506 and 0.9567, respectively). Taking the difference between sham and SCI bile acid concentrations in the serum vs. the difference between sham and SCI bile acid concentrations in the teste had an even higher correlation (R² = 0.9845).
