Venn diagrams of the number of genes dysregulated in RPE-choroid of early-stage AMD patients. Transcriptome data of RPE-choroid samples from patients with early-stage AMD (GSE29801 and GSE50195) were downloaded from a public database. Genes differentially expressed in RPE-choroid from AMD patients versus healthy controls were identified using a false discovery rate of 20% as the threshold. The number of differentially expressed genes in each group and the overlap between groups are shown.
