Normal LB contains 10g/L NaCL, 10g/L tryptone and 5g/L yeast extract and the modified LB contains 5g/L NaCL, 2g/L tryptone and 1g/L yeast extract. Inhibition of motility (in motile strains) was analyzed by the QQ enzyme (Aii20J) and molecules with this capacity (furanones and acyl homoserine, AHL).
