Effect of TMZ on expression of PAX6 in GBM cells. The (A) protein and (B) mRNA levels of PAX6 were determined with western blot analysis and reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction in U251 (left panel) and U118 (right panel) GBM cells treated with the indicated concentrations of TMZ for 48 h. β-actin blotting was used as a loading control in western blot analysis. Density of the PAX6 blot was normalized against that of the β-actin blot to obtain a relative blot density, which was then expressed as fold changes to that of the untreated cells (designated as 1).
